bought system used and is good as new. Got a 2nd 360 while the other was being repaired. now can play my bros from a different room online.

It quit working. I ordered my X-box 360 Elite for a Christmas gift. What am I to do now. I have a very unhappy teenager on my hands. It was delivered on time, and all was well. Until today, January 8, 2009.

I was playing NCAA Football 09 and it froze just today. So they agree it's their problem, but treat me like I did something.nice. I read all the reviews about the dreaded "Red Rings of Death", but still wanted the 360.

I called customer support, got a number and directions to mail the box in. So, it's the holidays now and I have gifts people have gotten me that I will not even be able to use. I guess if I don't do everything EXACTLY like they tell me, they won't fix the box.

Well.it finally happened to me. Three to be exact. Customer support told me I would not have the console back for 4-5 weeks.

I got the Elite Console just over a year ago thinking that it would be above that problem but.no. I turned it off, turned it back on, and.red ring.

I had the red ring with an E74 error code (you can google that too), and even though my unit was less than one year old Microsoft told me that it would not be covered by warranty, but I could have the privilege of paying them $100, in advance, to send them my unit and have them send me a refurbished unit within 6 weeks (I'm sure the refurbished unit would last a nice long time too).This link is to an article about the latest preventable defect with this unit: http://videogames.yahoo.com/feature/microsoft-faces-new-xbox-360-reliability-accusations/1274293I'm giving this unit one star only because I cannot figure out how to give it no stars. Before you buy this unit google "xbox 360 red ring of death." Some estimate the failure rate at 33% for these units. Buy a PS3 instead. This product is junk. Another example of Microsoft releasing a product to market before it is ready.
